Pop-up Event for Meetup and WordCamp Organizers

We are excited to announce a new pop-up event alongside WordCamp Phoenix Contributor Day on Sunday, February 17. Have you ever wondered what it takes to serve on a local meetup planning team or a WordCamp Organizing Team? We’ve brought together some of the greatest minds in the community to help you graduate from attendee to meetup or WordCamp organizers.

WordCamp for Organizers (also lovingly referred to as “dotorganize”) is kicking off in a “boot camp” style learning session. Attendees will arrive at 11:00 am for the networking portion of the event. Come ready to talk with established organizers as well as new members interested in contributing to their local communities. Formal sessions will include panels on:

  • Organizing Local Meetups
  • Organizing WordCamps
  • Sponsorship Best Practices for WordCamp
  • Please join us for an exciting day of networking and contributing to our amazing WordPress community.

Join us for the first ever “dotorganize” and meet others in the community who are contributing to WordPress using their organizing skills.

  • Location: Galvanize Phoenix 515 E Grant Street Phoenix, AZ 85004, between 5th and 7th streets.
  • Date and Time: February 17th at 11:00 am
  • Ticket Details: A WordCamp Phoenix ticket will get you into this event. Purchase ticket here.
  • Dining Options: Lunch is not included as a part of this event, but “The Larry” will be open for business. The Larry offers an eclectic menu including breakfast, sandwiches, pizza and salads. This is not your average lunch room cuisine. One of the teacher’s favorite is the “Bang Bang Broccoli”.
